Overview: when setting up your news item, you may want to include videos to make your items more dynamic. You can upload both local and external videos to your news item- this article explains in detail how to do both.
Start from: the News item set-up form (Flow dashboard: Main menu > Communications > Manage News > + Add)

How to upload local videos
Use this option to upload local videos that are stored on your computer.
- Upload a video in the video upload section in Step 1: Article Set-up. Before you include the video in the Step 2: Add Content text box, it must be uploaded first.
- Enter a headline (this is necessary in order to Save Draft).
- Select Save Draft.
- Select Next to move on to Step 2: Add Content.
- Select the Local video icon to add your video to the news item.
- Choose the alignment of the video and select OK.
- Select Next to continue to Steps 3 and 4, and select Publish to send the news item out.
Note: you can delete this video from the news item by selectin the Remove Video toggle on Step 1: Article Set-up.
How to upload embedded videos
Use this option to embed videos into your news item, when these are hosted elsewhere and not on your device (for example, on YouTube).
- Select the video icon in Step 2: Add Content.
- Insert the video URL and select Insert Video.
- Select Next to continue to Steps 3 and 4, and select Publish to send the news item out.
