Overview: The product sold by a supplier has four different units. The billing unit, the order unit, the storage unit and the production unit. All these units can be the same, or different. If the units are different, Easilys has to make conversions to know what should be invoiced on one side and stocked on the other.

Start from: The Easilys menu.

Units and their conversion can be managed from the Price Lists screen or from the Product Administration v2 screen.

To access it from price lists:

  • Select Products in the main menu > Price lists.
  • Select the relevant product.
  • In supplier product details, select the pencil icon.

To access it from the Product Administration V2 screen :

  • Select the Products > Product administration V2 tabs.
  • Select the desired product, then click on the arrow at the end of the line to view related supplier products.
  • Select the desired supplier product.
  • Select Modify.

There are several possible scenarios. Here are just a few examples:

I order by the box, but the supplier invoices me by the kilo

When you place your order, you'll need to specify the number of cartons you'd like to receive.
However, as invoicing is done by the kilo, it is necessary to tell Easilys how many kilos a box matches. By providing this information, Easilys can then calculate the amount to be reported:

  • Enter the billing unit.
  • Enter the order unit.

  • Indicate how many order units the billing unit matches, or vice versa.

Easilys will automatically calculate the other line.

I order by the carton, but stock by the box

When you order the product by the box, you'll want to store it by the box so that you can destock it by the box.

  • Enter the storage unit.

And the production unit?

The production unit indicates how the product is used when the user prepares a recipe. It's important for Easilys to know how you use the product so that it can offer you the right quantity to order. This is why it is necessary to indicate how many production units an order unit contains.
