Overview: The Points-Based System in Flow Learning and Mapal One allows employees to earn points for completing specific learning activities. These points appear on leaderboards, helping employees track their progress and stay motivated. Managers can enable or disable pointable actions and assign custom point values to learning tasks.
Start from: The Mapal OS configuration dashboard.
Customise gamification configuration
Managers and OS users have control over gamification settings.
Navigate to Gamification Management > Points & badges.
Here, you can enable or disable specific pointable actions and adjust the value of points assigned to each activity.
Earning points in Flow and Mapal One
Employees earn points automatically by completing the following learning activities:
Completing a Required by You module within the due date.
Completing a Required by You appraisal within the due date.
Completing a Bitesize or Optional Learning module to encourage exploratory learning.
Complete a Workbook within the due date.
Passing a Knowledge Check within the due date.
Completing a Collection within the due date.
Reading a Noticeboard item.
Once these activities are completed, points are assigned, and rankings are updated on the company leaderboard.
Viewing your points and rankings
To check your current points and ranking:
In Flow Learning:
Go to Learning & Development > Leaderboards.
Select the specific Leaderboard you want to see.
You can also check the rankings for specific Challenges.

In Mapal One:
Select Leaderboards from the main menu.
Select if you want to see the rankings per Teams, Challenges, or Points for specific team members.

Companies can choose how to recognise and reward employees based on their points. Announcements can be made through company news posts to highlight top learners.
