Overview: Easilys allows food service managers to retrieve and analyze traceability data so that they can ensure food safety and be prepared for audits, recalls, or compliance changes. The traceability system provides a structured way to review recorded data, track product movements, and generate reports for compliance and operational analysis.

Start from: The Easilys menu.

  • Navigate to Traceability > Restitution.

  • Here, you can choose to see the records per Supplier product or Recipe.

  • Select the corresponding tab.

  • Use the Search bars at the top to find specific products, batches, or recipes.

  • In Filters, you can:

    • Select a date range to filter historical traceability records.

    • Choose the specific Steps to track.

Understanding the records in the grid

Each traceability entry includes:

  • Step: The specific stage in the traceability process where the product was handled (e.g., Receiving, Preparation, Cooking, Storage, Delivery).

  • Date: The exact date when the traceability action was recorded.

  • Hour: The specific time when the action was performed.

  • Criteria: The conditions or parameters used for tracking (e.g., temperature checks, handling procedures, supplier specifications).

  • Name: The name of the product or ingredient being tracked (e.g., Chicken Breast, Fresh Spinach, Olive Oil).

  • Batch: The batch or lot number assigned to the product upon receipt.

  • UBD (Use-By Date): The expiration date of the product, ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines and preventing expired items from being used.

  • Status: The current condition of the product at that stage (e.g., In Stock, Used in Recipe, Delivered, Recalled).

You can rearrange the columns’ order by using the Configure button.

Export traceability data

  • Select the Reports button to export traceability reports.

  • Choose the format (ODS, XLS, or XLSX).
  • Select Generate to download the report.

Note: If the product supplier, recipe, or lot is not selected, the option to generate the report will not be available

Tracking a recalled product

If a supplier issues a product recall:

  • Search for the recalled product in Traceability > Restitution.

  • Locate all batches received from the supplier.

  • Identify if the product is in stock, in production, or already delivered.

  • Take necessary action (remove from stock, halt production, or notify customers).
