Overview: As a restaurant manager, you can adapt a recipe into different versions to suit the different preferences, textures and dietary needs of your customers. This guide takes you through the process.

Start from: The Easilys menu.

When you create a menu template, you can enter the Segment/Texture/Diet combination to specify the type of menus you will develop in this frame.

At the same time, you can also specify this combination on your recipe declinations, so that the same recipe exists in different versions compatible with different Segment/Texture/Diet combinations

WHY USE THE RECIPE DECLINATION?

When you duplicate menus from one menu template to another, it is therefore possible that these two templates are not both set up with the same Segment/Texture/Diet combination.

Some recipes are generally compatible, so there's no problem in duplicating the menu. But others need to be adapted to suit the needs of some of your guests.

If you've declined these recipes to have a version compatible with the Segment/Texture/Diet combination of the menu template you've duplicated, Easilys won't simply make a copy, it will choose to substitute the recipe with its version compatible with the menu template settings.

Example: You serve tuna rillettes on bread to hospital patients as an appetizer. To meet the needs of certain patients, the recipe must be adapted to suit the salt-free diet. So you're going to adapt your TUNA RILLETTES recipe to include a version without salt. If you then duplicate your menu from the general menu template on your framework specifically designed to meet the needs of people on a salt-free diet, Easilys will add the declined recipe and not the main TUNA RILLETTES recipe.

  • Select the Recipes > Recipe management tabs.
  • Select the local recipe you wish to adapt to other segments, textures or special diets.
  • Select the icon  on the recipe card.

  • Select Adapt.

Note: when you add a compatibility, the application checks that there isn't already a recipe declined from the same main recipe and compatible with this Segment/Texture/Diet combination. If necessary, this is indicated by the message “Another recipe already has the same compatibility!”.
