Overview: You can duplicate tasks to help manage your system more efficiently. A common requirement is to copy the task for a fridge or freezer temperature check. This can be done on the app (detailed here) or the web. See Copy a fridge or freezer task on the web.

Copying tasks helps you ensure all settings that need to be monitored are on the system and can be easily checked by the team, allowing you to keep appliances like fridges and freezers running at the right temperature to keep you compliant and your guests safe.

Start from: The Daily Schedule.

There are two routes to locating the task you wish to duplicate:

Locate and copy a task via the Daily Schedule

  • Scroll through the tasks available OR select  > SEARCH  to search for a relevant task. For example, search for ‘temperature’ to filter all areas relating to temperature.
  • Locate an area with a task to copy.
  • Select the area to open it and reveal the tasks.

Note: Try to copy a task with the same settings as the new one you want so that the settings, answer options and scheduling are also duplicated. For example, copy a fridge set to +8°C if that is the setting for the fridge you want to create the new task for.

  • Select  in the task to open the information screen.
  • Scroll through the tabs to check that the temperature settings (located in the Answer options tab) and scheduling are correct for your new fridge task.

Note: Don't enter an answer in this task or it will be modified.

  • Select Duplicate  to duplicate the task. This will open a TASK LABEL pop-up.

  • Amend the label to reflect the name of your new task.
  • Select CONFIRM to save the new task label and return to the area list OR select CANCEL to return without saving.

Locate and copy a task via My Location > Tasks

Identify the task that you wish to duplicate by browsing or searching.

  • Select the area/checklist for your store and scroll through the list of areas and select one (for example Temperature Controls  ) to open the task list.
  • Select  and enter a word (for example ‘fridge’) to search for a task with that word in the title.

Note: Try to copy a task with the same settings as the new one you want so that the settings, answer options and scheduling are also duplicated. For example, copy a fridge set to +8°C if that is the setting for the fridge you want to create the new task for.

  • Select Edit  to open the task settings.
  • Scroll through the tabs to check that the temperature settings (located in the Answer options tab) and scheduling are correct for your new fridge task.

Note: Don't enter an answer in this task or it will be modified.

  • Select duplicate  to duplicate the task. This will open a TASK LABEL pop-up for your new task.

  • Amend the label to reflect the name of your new task.
  • Select CONFIRM to save the new task label and return to the area list OR select CANCEL to return without saving.

The new task will have a duplicate of the original task's settings. This allows your team to record the temperatures of the new appliance quickly and easily to ensure your food is being stored safely. This process can be repeated for any appliances in your store that require regular settings checks to be recorded.
