Resetting a password through Mapal OS

For users on Mapal OS, your account should now be managed on the Mapal OS dashboard. You can find out more at Access Mapal OS (as a manager).

Note: if you're not sure whether you are on Mapal OS, contact your line manager or Mapal support.

 

Password reset mode via Easilys site settings

Start from: the Easilys menu

  • Select Outils (Tools) > Configuration.
     
  • Under Réinitialiser le mot de passe (Reset password), select the preferred password reset mode from the options listed below:



Contacter un administrateur par ses propres moyens (Contact an administrator on your own):

When the user selects "Mot de passe oublié" (Forgot password), they are prompt to contact an administrator to request a new password. The administrator can then manually reset the password as explained in the article Reset a user account password.

Contacter un administrateur par mail (merci de compléter l'adresse mail de contact ci-dessous) (Contact an administrator by e-mail (please complete the contact e-mail address below)):

When the user selects "Mot de passe oublié" (Forgot password) they are prompted to provide their username, and the administrator, whose email address is filled in, receives a password reset request for the user. The administrator can then manually reset the password as explained in the article Reset a user account password.

Recevoir le renouvellement de mot de passe à l'adresse mail de l'utilisateur (Receive the password renewal at the user's e-mail address):

When the user selects "Mot de passe oublié" (Forgot password) they are prompted to enter their username, and an automated email is sent to the email address provided in their user account. This email enables them to reset their account password.

  • Select Enregistrer (Save).
