Overview: Analytics allows operations managers to track and compare discounts across multiple locations so that they can understand potential anomalies in their sales data. The Exceptions section helps you examine these key data points in detail and provides insights to optimise operations.

Start From: The Analytics module.

  • Select Exceptions from the main menu.

Parameterize the data

  • Select the Parameters button to configure data settings. In the lateral window, you will find three parameter groups:

    • Analysis

      • The Analysis dropdown helps you select the type of analysis that can be by Business Units, By Employee, or By POS Terminal. In this particular case, you must select Business Units to display the locations.

      • Select the specific Exceptions to include in the analysis, such as Voids, Invitations, Staff Meals, or Refunds.

    • Period

      • Select the Period you want to display. It can be Yesterday, Week to Date, Month to Date, Year to Date, etc.

      • Select specific Weekdays if needed.

      • Select if you want to include specific Bank Holidays, Holiday Eves, or Events

      • You can also select Meteorology parameters.

    • Others

      • Set up the Currency to be shown in the grid.

  • Select Accept to apply your parameters and update the displayed data.

Key metrics

  • The Data grid will now show you the data broken down into three key metrics:

    • Discounted Amount: The total amount discounted to customers, including daily and centre-specific indicators to understand the impact on gross sales.

    • Checks with Discounts: Analyse the proportion of sales that included discounts and the average number of discounted tickets per day or centre.

    • Average Discount: Evaluate the average discount per sale, both as an amount and as a percentage, to identify patterns affecting profitability.

  • You can also switch to the Charts tab to visualize this information graphically. You can select different types of graphics, magnitudes, and ordinations according to your preferences.

You can refine the results of the visible data by filtering the information by specific Business Units. For more information about this filtering, see Use the Business Unit Tree Selector.
