Overview: When appraisals are scheduled, they are copied from one of the appraisal types which have already been created, saving time and increasing consistency. As teams develop, you can edit scheduled appraisals, changing them from their template to ensure that they remain relevant and your teams receive the right guidance.

Some customers rename 'appraisals' to another term. If unsure, ask your line manager or Mapal Customer Success manager.

Start from: The Flow Learning Dashboard.

  • Select Company > Learners to view a list of all learners in the company.
  • Select the learner from the list of search results to open their profile.
  • Select Appraisals to open the list of appraisals currently assigned to the learner.

  • Select Add  to schedule a new appraisal for the learner in a similar way to the Assign Learning option. You will be prompted to enter the details of the new appraisal, including the reviewing manager, appraisal type and scheduled time and date.
  • Select Search  to find a scheduled appraisal in the list.
  • Select  > Edit  on an already scheduled appraisal to make changes to it.

  • Select Step 1 to edit Details such as adding a manager to oversee the appraisal, the appraisal date, adding additional info and choosing whether the learner can see comments.

  • Select Step 2 to edit Responses such as adding reviewer responses to the set fields in the appraisal template.

  • Select Step 3 to edit the Action Plan such as adding reviewer responses and assigning an action plan course comprising modules, external training, appraisals, workbooks, competences and goals.
  • Select Save to confirm any changes.

Note: Updated changes to the appraisal will only be re-sent to the learner once this Save has been completed.

The learner will then be notified via email of the changes made to their scheduled appraisal. Once the appraisal has been completed by the learner and you want to remove it from the list of up-coming appraisals, select Mark as Complete.
