Overview: A workstation is the position that a worker can occupy in a rota, within the Workforce system. Workstations can have required skills or learning associated with them to define if a worker has the skills to perform the work.

Start from: The Workforce dashboard.
 

  • Select Scheduling > Weekly Rotas from the main menu.

  • Use the Work Center dropdown list to show only rotas for that business unit.

  • Use the Weekly Rotas list to find a non-completed rota to work on.

Note: Rotas which are completed can’t be modified, so the Enabled Workstations (All Employees) page is not usable for completed rotas.

  • Select Edit  to open the Projected Shift page for that rota.

  • Select popup menu > Enabled Workstations (All Employees) for any entry in the Employee column to open the Enabled Workstations (All Employees) page.

Note: On devices with a mouse, the popup menu for an employee is opened with the right mouse button. On mobile devices, the popup menu is opened by tapping and holding on the employee.

 

Enabled Workstations (All Employees) page

The Enabled Workstations (All Employees) page grid shows active or inactive workstations in columns for each employee, with a star rating indicating the level of proficiency that employee has with that workstation. If there is no star rating, the employee does not currently have that workstation enabled.
 

  • Select one of the workstations in a blank cell in the row for an employee to add a workstation for that employee.

  • Select the star rating  to set the number of stars you want to associate with the workstation.

  • Select the star rating  in a populated cell to edit that rating.

  • Select  in a populated cell to remove that workstation entry for the employee in that row.

  • Use Delete Selection  to clear all entries in that employee’s row.

  • Use Select All  to fill all entries in that employee’s row at the default star rating.

  • Select Accept to store the workstations settings and return to the Projected Shift page OR select Cancel to close the Enabled Workstations (All Employees) page and return to the Projected Shift page.

  • Select Save  to save your changes and return to the Weekly Rotas list OR select Exit without Saving  to discard the changes and return to the Weekly Rotas list.

The enabled or disabled Workstations for all the employees in the rota will be updated after changes are made to the Enabled Workstations (All Employees) page and saved in the Projected Shift page. The updated workstation settings will be used for these employees in this rota and all shifts going forward.
