Overview: The termination of an employee in GIR is a process that allows entering the necessary data to conclude the employment relationship of an employee.

Start from: The Workforce module.

  • Select Workforce Management > Workforce from the main menu.
  • Filter by the Current, Former, or Future status and by the Workplace to display the desired workers, OR use the search bar by entering the text you want to search for.

  • Once the fields of Status and Workplace are filtered, select Employment Information for the employee you wish to change the employment status.
  • In the box with the employee's employment information, select Edit.

  • A dialogue box will appear where you can input the details of the termination:
    • Termination date: the effective date of the employee's termination, i.e., the last day the worker will be available to work at the Workplace.
    • Reason for termination: the reason why the employee is terminated.
    • Additional information: any extra information you want to provide to complement the termination.
  • Select Save to proceed with the termination, OR Cancel to abort the process.
