Overview: Setting up work restriction periods allows employers to ensure that employees' work is properly scheduled at the appropriate times. These restrictions can be amended when creating a new employee, regardless of whether it's done directly or through a proposal, and they can also be modified anytime.

Start from: The Workforce module.

For a new employee

  • Select Workforce Management > Workforce from the main menu.


  • On the resulting screen, select New.

  • Follow the procedure to create a new employee. See Create new employee.
  • Scroll down to Work Restriction (Shifts).

  • Set the work restrictions for each one of the weekdays. You can set restrictions based on specific working hours (Works from, Works up to), Specific Shifts, No restrictions, or Does not work.
  • Select if you want to Enable Restrictions on Holidays/Holiday Eves.

  • Select Accept to register the employee and its work restrictions OR Cancel not to proceed with the registration.

 

For an existing employee

  • Select Workforce Management > Workforce from the main menu.
  • Filter by “Current, Former, or Future" status and by the Work Center to display the desired employees OR use the Search bar to enter specific text.

  • Select Employment Information in the employee's box.
  • In the box with the employee's Labor Period Information, select Edit to modify an ongoing period OR New to set up a new period.

  • Set the work restrictions for each one of the weekdays. You can set restrictions based on specific working hours (Works from, Works up to), Specific Shifts, No restrictions, or Does not work.
  • Select if you want to Enable Restrictions on Holidays/Holiday Eves.

  • Select Save to complete the setup OR Cancel not to proceed with the changes.
