Overview: As a restaurant manager, you can create a new price list to keep your pricing structure up to date with market trends. This guide takes you through the process.
Start from: The Easilys menu.
Create a price list
Select Products > Price Lists from the main menu.
Select + Create a price list.
The "Create a price list" window appears.
Fill in the requested information. Those fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.
- Label: This field lets you give your price list a name. You can leave this field blank.
Notes: this name can be useful when you choose to have several price lists for the same supplier, as it allows you to clearly define what is included in one or other of the price lists.
- Valid from: This field is used to indicate the date from which the price list is valid, enabling the products contained within it to be ordered.
- Notes: This validity start date can be coupled with a validity end date to define the validity period of the price list. This can be very useful for analyzing purchases period by period, or for tracking purchase commitments linked to these periods.
- Product family: This field is used to specify the product family to which the price list is dedicated. Only products belonging to the same product family or its sub-families can then be added to the price list.
Notes: if you don't want to have several price lists for each supplier, then enter "None" as the product family. This allows you to list all the supplier's products in the price list, regardless of product family.
- Supplier: This field is used to specify the supplier to which the price list list is linked. On Easilys, a price list is necessarily linked to a specific supplier.
- Until: This field is used to indicate the date from which the price list is no longer valid, and therefore no longer allows the products contained therein to be ordered.
Notes: This end-of-validity date can be coupled with a start-of-validity date to define the period of validity of the price list. This can be very useful for analyzing purchases period by period, or for tracking purchase commitments linked to these periods.
Select Create.
You'll then find yourself in the created price list. This one is empty and inactive.
Notes: if you need to review the list of all your price lists, there's no need to reload the page. Simply select Show list.
Adding products to the price list
Select + Add a supplier product.
Select the supplier product you wish to add, or enter the product name in the search bar.
Notes: if the product you wish to add is not in the list, you will need to create it as described in "Create a product".
The "Add a supplier product" window appears.
Notes: if you modify some of this product's information before selecting "Add", then a new product with its characteristics will be created in the database.
Select Add.
Activate a price list
Notes: when you create a new price list, it is initially set to "Inactive" status. For proce list to be available, it must be activated, so that it becomes "Active".
Select Enable on the price list page.
The Confirm window appears.
Select Confirm to confirm activation.
Notes: when you activate a price list, you'll need a little patience to be able to order the products inside, as explained in the article "Easilys updates (or Product Flat)". In fact, an update must take place once a day, usually at midday or at night. Without this update, products will not yet be available for order.
