Overview: As a restaurant manager, you want to create your initial stock. This guide will walk you through the process.
Start from: The Easilys menu.
When you gain access to Easilys, your stock is empty (unless you have subscribed to our data import offers). If your real stock already contains products, you need to enter them into the application to start using them.
The first step is to create your suppliers. To find out more, see Create a new supplier record.
Once you have created your suppliers, you can choose between two methods to create your initial stock:
Create initial stock from stock
It is not possible to create a new supplier product from the Stock screen. It is necessary to create the product beforehand, and to integrate it into a price list that matches. For more information, see the Create a product article.
- Select the Stock > Stock v2 tabs.
- Select + Product at the top of the stock table.
- Select Supplier product or Finished product, depending on the product you wish to add to your stock.
- Find and select the supplier product you wish to put into stock (if it doesn't exist, you'll need to create it).
The "Add a product to stock" window opens.
- Select a date prior to the date on which you will start using Easilys. We advise you to indicate 12/31 of the previous year.
- Select the Accrual Entry transaction type.
- Indicate the quantity you have in stock.
Optional: Modify unit price as required. Indicate the weighted average price you had on your previous management software so that the inventory valuation is consistent with your latest inventory.
- Select Sign off.
The product is now in stock. Repeat the action for each product in your Stock.
Note: Stock can be valued either before or after tax. Make sure your stock is set to exclude or include VAT, so that it matches the price you enter when adding to stock. In fact, if you add items with the price inclusive of VAT when the stock is set up exclusive of VAT, this may subsequently distort your stock.

Create initial stock from Receptions
- Select the Supplier orders > Receptions tabs .
- Select Create reception.
- Select the desired supplier.
A blank purchase order is created.
- Select the "+" in the Receptions.
- Find the product you want to add and select it from the list that Matches. If it doesn't exist, create it.
- Indicate the quantity you currently have in stock.
The product line is created in the delivery note.
- Repeat these steps for each supplier's product you have in stock.
- Select Sign off.
- Enter a neutral delivery note number. Example: BLSTOCKINITIAL.
- Change the delivery date to a date earlier than the date on which you will start using Easilys. We advise you to indicate 12/31 of the previous year.
- Create a new packing slip to add products from each of your suppliers whose products you have in stock.
