Overview: The Workforce scheduler integrates a favorites and sequences functionality. Favourite shifts are those most frequently used and assigned, while sequences refer to groups of favourite shifts ordered in a specific way to be assigned.
Start from: The Workforce module.
- Select Scheduling > NEW Scheduler MVP from the main menu.
- Select the Configuration button on the main shift screen.
- Select Favourite Shifts from the drop-down menu.
Configure favourite shifts
From the Favourite Shifts panel
- Once in the Favourite Shifts screen, select the Shifts tab.
- Select New + to set up a new favourite shift.
- In the Add Shift pop-up window, assign:
- Description and abbreviation of favourite shift
- Color to be used for favourite shift when assigned
- Business Unit (Work Center) where the favourite shift will take place
- The activity or activities to be performed during the shift
- The start and end times of each activity
- Once the shift information is complete, select Accept to save the favorite shift OR Cancel to discard it.
From the shift planner
- On the NEW MVP Shifts screen, set parameters to display the shifts you wish to view. To set up the scheduler, see Access the scheduler.
- Locate the shift you want to mark as a favourite in the schedule and press the right click.
- Select Save as Favourite from the drop-down menu.
- A pop-up window will appear where you will have to set up:
- Description and abbreviation of favourite shift
- Color to be used for favourite shift when assigned
- Select Accept to save the shift in the favourite shifts catalog OR Cancel to discard it.
Configure sequences
- Once in the Favourite Shifts screen, select the Sequences tab.
- Select New + to set up a new sequence.
- In the New Sequence pop-up window, assign:
- Description or name of the sequence
- Duration in number of days
- Favourite shifts to be assigned and in what order
- Once the sequence information is complete, select Accept to save it OR Cancel to discard it.

Notes: The configuration of favorite shifts and sequences is limited to those with the corresponding security action, while all users with access and ability to create schedules can use these created favorites and sequences to assign them to their employees.
